Located in the hospital complex site of Toulouse Purpan, the Casselardit project takes two programming forms: the first part, represented by a student residence hosting 165 studio flats in R+5 module, creates an islet along a tramway line. The second and third parts, including 180 flats, punctuate a housing complex of 345 housings on the whole. The architectural style is rigorous and planned to manage the construction costs moneywise.
Our team of architects wished to create discreet volumes putting forward a terracotta substructure and a sparkling orange colour within white frames punctuating the facades.
The islet presents an open space inside to offer the residents a garden for a breath of fresh air and a meeting area. This last mentioned space is linked to the public area to ensure an open and sheltered transition with street surrounding the islet.
